Ideoplasty

Ideoplasty is a Paranormal or psychological concept suggesting that thoughts, emotions, or mental energy can physically influence matter or create visible forms. In Occult and parapsychological traditions, ideoplasty is often associated with materializations, Thought-Forms, Apparitions, Poltergeist activity, or Psychic phenomena allegedly shaped by the subconscious mind.

Historical Context

The concept emerged during the late 19th and early 20th centuries alongside the rise of Spiritualism and psychical research. Researchers investigating Séances, mediumship, and Supernatural Manifestations proposed that strong mental impressions or unconscious Psychic forces could produce physical effects.
