Anomaly

An Anomaly is something that deviates from what is normal, expected, or understood. Anomalies can occur in science, statistics, technology, nature, or human experience and are often viewed as irregularities or unexplained phenomena. In Paranormal contexts, an anomaly may refer to mysterious events, unusual readings, unexplained sightings:  Shadow Figures, Orbs, footsteps, taps and knocks; flashes of light; Cold Spots,  or warm spots; voices and whispers, or strange occurrences that appear to defy conventional explanation.

Historical Context

The term originates from the Greek word anōmalos, meaning “uneven” or “irregular.” Throughout history, anomalies have played important roles in scientific discovery, as unexpected observations often challenged accepted beliefs and led to new theories. Ancient Astronauts, philosophers, and naturalists documented unusual celestial events, strange weather, and unexplained natural phenomena. In modern times, anomalies have become central to fields such as physics, astronomy, psychology, and Paranormal investigation.
